Electric Motorcycle is mainly composed of frame, electric drive system.

- Battery ( Power supply )
- The battery provides electric energy for the driving motor of electric motorcycle. Then the electric energy will be converted into mechanical energy to drive the wheels forward. - Drive motor
- Drive motor is the device to convert the electrical energy into mechanical energy, and drive the wheels and working devices directly through the transmission device. - Motor speed control device

- Environment friendly
- With a 0 emissions environmental label, Electric motorcycles do not use gasoline as source of power.
- Lower maintenance cost
- Electric bikes don’t have air filters, oil, spark plugs, timing belts and some don’t even have a clutch or gearbox. With fewer moving parts, the electric motor is simpler than a gasoline motor. And you do not need to change oil in limited driving distance, which same you time and protect your wallet.
- Rapid acceleration
- An electric motor has instant 100% torque which means rapid acceleration, which means electric motorcycles are fast.

In 1895, Ogden Bolton Jr. applied the world’s first electric motorcycle patent in Ohio, USA.

In 1936, the Limelette brothers founded the "Socovel" company specializing in electric motorcycles in Germany. However, due to the backward technology on battery, electric motorcycles was not popularized at that time.
During World War II, Merle Williams invented an electric motorcycle that can tow a small trailer in the United States.
In 1967, Austrian electrochemist Karl Kordesch invented an electric motorcycle powered by a hybrid of fuel cells and nickel-cadmium batteries, which was later replaced by hydrazine fuel cells. This electric motorcycle consumes one liter of hydrazine fuel and can run 87km, and the top speed can reach 40km/h.
In 1974, Mike Corbin made an electric racing motorcycle called Quick Silver, which set a world record of 266.165km/h in the Bonneville Salt Lake in the United States, and this magical motorcycle used the 24V Electric motor on the American DouglasA-4B fighter jets.

At present, China is the largest production and use area of electric motorcycles in the world.
